Kristin Fisher joined CNN in 2021. The reporter will serve as the Space and Defense Correspondent. In this role, Fisher is responsible for covering everything including NASA's new Space Force to commercial space business and the emergence of space tourism. Kristin, her mother was one of NASA astronauts and an enthusiastic space lover was raised in the industry. She served for five years working as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy under the Trump and Biden Administrations. Over the course of that time she covered the 2020 presidential campaign, two impeachment trial, two efforts to stop the pandemic coronavirus, as well as two different administrations' initiatives. Kristin travelled extensively, including both the vice president and president. She even went on a secret trip to Afghanistan along with Donald Trump. Before joining the network in, Kristin spent nearly a 10 years working her way up through local TV news markets which included Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she received the Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the city's CBS affiliate. Kristin's camera skills helped her establish Field Mouse Films which specialized creating documentary-style films for corporate customers including Uber Hotels & Resorts and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin is a graduate in Journalism from Boston University. She is married to her husband in Washington, D.C., and she has a 3 year old daughter.
